Author Study

I completed the author study and I feel I was SUPER lucky to have been assigned Mr. Jim Arnosky. I love nature, and that is alllllll Jim writes about. It's really great because he has some storybooks, some picture books, and some factual books. He covers tons of ground with his series of All about..., and the Crinkleroot Adventures. I love looking at his illustrations that are so life like and want to reach out and touch the real thing! That why I really recommend that whenever you have a lesson about nature, science, oceans or whatnot you check out Jim Arnosky and his books for a resource. I am a...

I am a daughter to Jeff and Janet. They are my base and they are always there if I need them. They are a never ending source of love, frustration, encouragement, and joy. They have continually supported me in all that I do and trust me in a way that has made me eternally grateful.

I am a sister to Andrew, Elizabeth, and Robert. Drew, Beth, and Robby have always been there with endless advice, often unsolicited. While Beth can be bosy and the boys are the strong silent types. They let me be the middle of all that. They never say much but when they do its always truthful, good or bad.

I am an employee at LA Fitness where I love to work and workout. It's another thing to do during the day but it's great because I get to go to work and then work off any stress or frustation that builds up from work or school. It's a great place to work that fits into my hours with school and homework.

I am a student at Florida Gulf Coast. This summer seems to be way to intense to even be considered a vacation. Here I am learning lots and hopefully understanding more.

I am a friend to some, not close to many people but the ones that I am close to know that no matter what I'm there. It's that whole quality over quantitiy thing with me. As a typical loner I've found some loving fun people who make it there mission to draw me out and make me be myself. Couldn't ask for better ones.

About Me

Welcome! My name is Sarah Cappel. I am currently a senior at Florida Gulf Coast University. I am majoring in Elementary Education with the hopes of earning my master's in Special Education. I am hoping to be a teacher all over the place, even out of country eventually! I am originally from Virginia so it would be great to go back north for a while. Half of my immediate family lives there still, my older brother Andrew who is a firefighter in Washington D.C. and my older sister Elizabeth who works in the education department but is on leave with my brand new nephew Mason. My younger brother Robby is attending Valenica and parents still live in Florida on the east coast. We're kind of scattered right now but when we get together its fun times full of food, cards, and keeping my grandmother on her toes. For right now when I'm not at school, I work at a daycare and a gym so no matter what I always seem to be active. I think it's great to combine the outdoors and reading so hopefully we can discover some great books to bring outside to relax with and enjoy the summer sun.
